Swan's second sunday scandi session at the swan

Having searched high and low for a suitable venue we are please to announce that the first Scandi Session will be on Sunday 13th November at The Swan in Rayne. Kick off is at 8pm with a learning session at 7pm. The nyckelharpa team will be on hand. More details on Vicki & Jonny's duo website.

Medieval Playground Opening

 

Stroud Green Playfort was opened on Sunday 16th October, withe skirl of medieval music! Vicki & Jonny performed all afternoon and lead the parade for the children all dressed up as knights and princesses. Check out the report from the Hornsey Journal - read more!

This is the brand new website! No picture for this entry, just have an explore round the site! The name Gleowien has been chosen for this venture as the meaning - "to make music: to make merry" perfecly sums up what we are all about!

First Nyckelharpa workshop at Crawley

 


The grand Nyckelharpa project had its first session at Crawley Festival back in June. Seven participants all had a three hour workshop on how to play the nyckelharpa! An amazing start to hopefully an amazing project!
